All courses are designed with beginners and intermediate producers in mind. For complete beginners, I’ve included all the essentials in each course so you won’t feel overwhelmed.

If you’re starting from zero, begin with "What is Audio?" and "Ableton Live Beginner Course – For Neurodivergent and Hands-On Learners:. If you already know the basics, such as the Ableton Live layout, what MIDI is, and how to record basic audio, or if you’re a more advanced producer looking for fresh perspectives, I recommend Ableton Live: Track From Start to Finish.

With Ableton Push, I always recommend starting with the 101 course before moving on to the Ableton Push Live Performance course.

While most of the courses are primarily aimed at beginners, they often offer new ideas and useful workflow details for more experienced producers too.

All my DAW based courses are taught in Ableton Live 11 or 12, but you can also follow the Ableton Live courses with earlier versions of Ableton Live. The core concepts, workflows, and techniques are the same, even if some buttons or features look slightly different.

NOTE! The visual catsplaining courses are universal for all DAWs.

Ableton Live: You can take the courses with Ableton Live Intro, Standard, or Suite. Some lessons use Suite-only instruments or effects, but I always mention this or explain alternatives so you won’t get stuck if you’re on a different edition.

Ableton Push: My Push courses work with: Ableton Push 2 Ableton Push 3 (Controller or Standalone)

Where to start If you’re new to Push, I recommend starting with the Push 101 / Crash Course, before continuing to the Push Live Performance course.

No. You don’t need any prior music theory or production experience to get started. The beginner courses assume no background knowledge and explain things step by step, without confusing words or pressure to “already know” things.

If you do have some experience, the courses will help you strengthen your foundations, fill in gaps, and build more confidence in your workflow rather than just copying techniques.

I always explain why things work. Understanding the reason behind a technique helps you make your own creative decisions instead of relying on presets or copying steps blindly. In some of the courses I even use white board and funny drawings to help you fully understand the concepts.

You’ll learn what the tools do, why you might use them, and how to adapt the ideas to your own music, genre, and creative process, not just follow along click by click.

Yes. You have a 14-day right to request a refund, with a few clear conditions due to the digital nature of the courses.

You can request a full refund within 14 days of purchase if: • You’ve purchased an individual course and have not progressed beyond the first module • You’ve purchased a learning path or bundle and have not progressed beyond the first module of the first course

Refunds are not available if: • You’ve accessed the second or later modules of a course • You’ve accessed content beyond the first module in a bundle • You’ve downloaded course materials such as PDFs, templates, presets, or session files

Accessing downloadable or bonus content is considered confirmation that the course is being used and removes the right to cancel.
